To my question proper, I only have iOS devices (phone and iPad) with which I can regularly access the library, and as such I am limited to the default voice, which while sufficient in the most basic sense, leave much to be desired even in the world of machine voices.
I have recently started converting some of my ebooks to audiobooks via Amazon’s Polly voices, which in my opinion are on par with typical volunteer narration in projects like LibraVox, or… decent.
What I would love to see is an option, either per book or as a supporter benefit, to have the OCR text of a borrowed book be fed through the Amazon Polly API for a much more natural narration experience, which at least for me greatly aids in immersion and comprehension.
Is such an option a plausible possibility?
