I am sorry for not being clearer.
I have a folder on the DVD Named
VIDEO_TS
In the folder are the following files:
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
I doubt they are in MPEG2 format but perhaps they are.
Do I just post these on archive.org using fpt or do I convert the files first? If conversion is necessary in order for the public to view them, is there a freeware program for that purpose?
I beg your indulgence with these questions. The documentary is about the conditions in Palestine under Israeli Occupation. Our intention is to show the abuses that are causing these people to strap on bombs and blow themselves up. It is our hope that with a general understanding of their conditions, they will be able to get justice from the international community and that peace will follow.
Thank you for your help.
John

cd c:\temp
copy /b vts_01_1.vob + vts_01_2.vob movie.mpeg
where movie.mpeg is the mpeg2 destination file. C:\temp is the folder containing the .vob files.

Thanks for your help. I used your command line to concatenate the two files. Unfortunately, the windows media player on my computer gives an error message when I try to play the new file with the mpeg extension. It tells me that the correct codec is not installed. So I renamed the file to have a vob extension and the new concatenated file played just fine. So when I transfer the file to Archive.org, what file extension should I use?
Thanks, John

I deleted the source files from the directory where I have the newly concatenated file with the vob extension. Unfortunately, the file no longer plays on my media player. I guess this means that the newly concatenated file is somehow dependant on the other files that were in the directory. So my concern is that if I post only the newly concatenated file, it will not be viewable.
What must I do?
