I'm completely stumped. I've tried two different machines and two different ftp programs, and I'm getting either the message "Error (11001) Can't find host" or on the older machine it just goes dead and nothing happens. Do you know if this could be caused by some block at this end, where SBC is stopping it? It really isn't making any sense to me.
heeellllpppp! I have 98 files to upload!

I am not sure how else to help you. Try it from a friend's house. It works for me from many different ISPs.

Hi again,
so I'm at home, going through a cable modem and rcn.com instead of DSL and sbcglobal.net. I've tried two different FTP programs and had the exact same results as yesterday from my office. "Error 11001 (Host not found) finding address for host" and endless retrying and same... and then with WS_FTP it just concludes that I have the wrong address. I'm trying to connect to ftp://movies-uploads.archive.org
is there something wrong with this address? It worked fine the first night when I uploaded all the films that are now cued for a curator. No connection has been possible since then, from 3 machines in two locations using 3 different ftp programs. What shall I do?

This is probably because the ftp cannot lookup movie-uploads.archive.org because it can't get by this gateway at archive.org?

> ping ns1.archive.org
ICMP Dest Host Prohibited from gateway 209.237.229.130
for icmp from devoid2.looksmart.com (172.17.50.19) to ns1.archive.org (209.237.232.2)

> traceroute ns1.archive.org
traceroute to ns1.archive.org (209.237.232.2), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets
