BTW, while I understand how some landless peasant in a third-world country could find hope in Chavez' redistributing oil wealth to provide some basic health and other social services, the left's uncritical embrace of him has echoes of the left's embrace of Stalin and other such thugs in the past. He has stifled the press and taken out critics like other military dictators before him. Those praising him need to look at the complete picture (insofar as the same is available to someone sitting stateside; also, if you get a chance, see The Revolution Will Not Be Televised about the coup to take him out and then how he returned - not hard to understand why he commands popular support)

Looks like we're one signifcant bigger step toward war in Iran. Hmmm, wonder why the talk of a draft popped up earlier this week....

Clintons, Bushs, they are all a bunch of flippin morons. I'm OK with the draft as long as it's mandatory that politicians draft-age children get drafted first.
