How many of you are old enough to remember HIGH FLIGHT, the inspirational late-night short film just before signoff? High Flight usually played at the end of the program day, just before the national anthem, followed soon after by a test pattern and snowy dead air. When was signoff back in those days? Usually anywhere between 1 or 2 in the morning, when all good people were sound asleep (but night owls like me were still awake). And no, back then we had no all-night infomercials, thank you! Seeing High Flight again brought back a flood of memories. See if any of you other oldsters remember this little film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGj6deaINxM

My dad was okay with me staying up late watching TV, because he did it too! Just not on school nights! Too bad HIGH FLIGHT isn't on the IA! I'd love to put it at the tail end of some of my home-made DVDs!
