Having been found guilty of uploading a clip from Cool Hand Luke (3 seconds, in the middle of a mashup), I'd like to clue people in on how YouTube operates....
If your content contains copyright material, they'll send you a stern warning, but they won't remove it....
they'll just fill the page up with advertising junk.
Totally cringeworthy.

Not entirely true. I've done videos where I put myself into movies (Here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dgxv96L1rF4 ) Warners Bros tagged it and placed ads on it. However, I posted a video of Julie Brown in the tv show Quantom Leap and Universal force Youtube to take it down and site my channel. So, I guess it all depends on what the copyright holder wants to do.
