Hi, newbie from Wales, UK, looking for the title of a USA guidance/education film from the 50's/60's, which featured the advice:
DO DO A "DO", DON'T DO A "DON'T".
I've been searching for this for so long that I now feel I must have dreamed seeing it once on British TV

Many thanks for taking the time to reply.

The programme/film was shown on Britsih TV some 6 years ago, on Channel 4, I think.
An excerpt was shown along with the very similar: "How Much Affection" and "Dating Do's And Don'ts".

It was part of a look-back at the mores of yesterday from a sociological point of view.

The "Do do a do, don't do a don't" came as "advice" to a teenage girl who (in the film) was faced with making decisions: should I kiss my boyfriend/should I stay out late-etc.
Then the girl heard a disembodied female voice say: "Do do a do, but don't do a don't.", and thus the teenager made the "right" decision.
The disembodied voice was I think supposed to be that of the girl's mother, but; there was just a suggestion that it might be , also, an angelic voice with a direct command from Heaven.
It was a piece certainly very old-1940's or 1950's, certainly before the Swinging Sixties took hold.
