Hi... I was looking into the copyright for the serial ATOM MAN VERSUS SUPERMAN and the info given my the copyright office says:

1. Registration Number: RE-851
Title: Atom Man versus Superman. Chap. 1. By aColumbia Pictures Corporation.
Claimant: D C Comics, Inc. (PWH)
Effective Registration Date: 2Mar78
Original Registration Date: 19Jun50;
Original Registration Number: LP177.
Original Class: L

Now CLASS L refers to MOTION PICTURE PHOTOPLAYS. Is that the actual film? Or are they refering to the script?

And... I'm trying to find out if the original SUPERMAN serial is public domain, as well as BATMAN and BATMAN & ROBIN serials. Many websites claim they are all PD, but anyone know difinitively?

Well... I guess no one knows the answer to my question or whether any of the "super-hero" serials are truly in the public domain...?
