An interplay of perturbative and nonperturbative effects in pomeron, odderon and reggeons dynamics is discussed. It is pointed out that experimental data on pion charge exchange reaction at high energies indicate to a dominance of the nonperturbative string-like dynamics up to rather large momentum transfer. The relevance of measuring Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) for few nucleon systems is illustrated. An approach which permits to calculate the GPDs of hadrons made of composite constituents by proper convolutions is described. The application of the method to the nucleon target, assumed to be made of composite constituents is reviewed. Calculations of GPDs for few nucleon systems are summarized, with special emphasis to the $^3$He target.

Various adaptive randomization procedures (adaptive designs) have been proposed to clinical trials. This paper discusses several broad families of procedures, such as the play-the-winner rule and Markov chain model, randomized play-the-winner rule and urn models, drop-the-loser rule, doubly biased coin adaptive design. Asymptotic theories are presented with several pivotal proofs. The effect of delayed responses, the power and variability comparison of these designs are also discussed.

We propose the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking of a bulk vector field as a way to generate the selection of bulk dimensions invisible to the standard model confined to the brane. By assigning a non-vanishing vacuum value to the vector field, a direction is singled out in the bulk vacuum, thus breaking the bulk Lorentz symmetry.
