Maybe just another one... but I wanted an external shield shape. My challenge was to make the patterns exactly coincide (never the case in most photos). Realized it is impossible on the top left were there wouldn't be any lion's rear on the central one.. Couldn' t align the edge on the right if symetrical to the left either. Tweaked meirm's Stackable Polygons to: 1) Make the OpenSCAD code more parametric and commented (i.e. replaced numbers with variables and equations). 2) Made the ends of the 'bones' rounded, to make them easier to slide onto the 'polygons'. Meirm did the hard math, and the polygons were already parametric (number of slots). Attached are STL files for polygons with 6 and 8 slots, and 'bones' length 20 mm and 40 mm.

A LEGO-compatible plate for constructing pentagons. I have two other Reuleaux shapes on here, the more common triangle shape. But a Reuleaux can be made for any odd-number N-gon, meaning triangle, pentagon, septagon, etc. The easiest way to make one is with the revolve, as seen in this shape. You just build a Reuleaux-correct 2d shape and then 360° revolve it. With the pentagon version, it looks even more bizarre than the Reuleaux triangle, it looks like it *shouldn't work*. There's some kind of optical illusion in the way out brain processes...

This is an example of the regular faced toroidal Polyhedra that Bonnie Stewart describes in his book "Adventures Among the Toroids." The hole is a zig-zag hole. You cannot see directly through it.

Easy snap together almost any polyhedron created of regular polygons. The hinge is designed to easy snap together and pull apart. The larger polyhedrons are quite sturdy and you can play with them without falling apart. The included polygons has 25 mm sizes. With the OpenSCAD code you can easily design your own size and change any dimension including number of hinges on each side. Make sure you print a few smaller pieces first to test the fit before you print any large sets. Have fun. Stefan

These are magnetic squares, triangles, hexagons and octagons that easily connect to make compound shapes. At each node there's a 6mm spherical chamber with a 5mm magnetic ball inserted. The ball is free to rotate so the shapes connect to each other easily. The shapes are printed using TPU, making them fun, flexible and unbreakable. They feel nice in the hand while playing.
