A handsome, suave Toshiro Mifune lights up the screen as painter Ichiro, whose circumstantial meeting with a famous singer (Yoshiko Yamaguchi) is twisted by the tabloid press into a torrid affair. Ichiro files a lawsuit against the seedy gossip magazine, but his lawyer, Hiruta (Kurosawa stalwart Takashi Shimura), is playing both sides. A portrait of cultural moral decline, Scandal is also a compelling courtroom drama and a moving tale of human redemption.

These are clips from a movie Justin Gaar and I made in college. In the movie we play ourselves and we are making a movie about the front man of Journey, Steve Perry. We decided to take a few liberties with the story...basically we decided to not do any research.

Order in the Court was a syndicated radio drama that related fictional crimes as they were litigated in the courtroom. A nameless courtroom reporter open the show with some details, and the drama would begin as testimony and flashbacks. The series was targeted to a daytime audience, so it would often involve family tragedies, romances gone wrong, or other plotlines. The series was introduced to syndication in 1953.

Original screenplay by Steven Kunes, completed in 1996 -- one year after the acquittal of O.J. Simpson on double-murder charges. The story concerns a famous criminal defense attorney who wants to win one final case as a bookend to his illustrious career, so he sets up a man for murder in what appears to be an open and shut case, and then steps in as his lawyer in order to get him acquitted. Turns out, a washed-up private investigator figures this out and vows to see this lawyer convicted.
