Seniors Morning Out operates four days a week in the mornings. There are five locations throughout the county, and bus transportation may be available. It is free to participants. Annie Fallin is a Catawba County resident who receives Meals on Wheels. Although there are some things she can no longer do for herself, she continues to have a positive and cheerful outlook on life. Frances Frock was involved when Meals on Wheels was started in the 1970s. As an early director of the Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministries, she worked with Catawba County Social Services, area churches, and local volunteers to establish the first Meals on Wheels routes in the county.
