Created for @benjhandy on tiktok by me @engineerwithattitude. This is a positive mold to create silicone molds for urban gardening bricks. 1. Create a container from legos or children's bricks larger than the brick. This allows you to save silicone by making a box the exact size u need and makes taking the brick mold come out easier since you can pull legos apart. The bottom can be a flat lego piece or a lid to a plastic box with a small hole drilled into it (to avoid suction). Cover the hole...

This is a small netpot I made for an indoor hyroponic system, It used little foam plugs as the media to hold the seed and they fit in 2" holes. You can build a simpe NFT hydropoinc system using parts printed off thingverse and a trip to homedepot or other building supply store (buying some drain pipe and fittings)

This is the sprouting and root growing system I'm using to nurture seedlings to the point they can survive in a fog-only environment. It's essentially a quick and cheap way to make a temporary Kratky system while the root system develops a bit. I start plants in the small one with multiple seeds until they outgrow it, then prune them back to a single plant in the larger one until the root system fills the net pot and cup. Use the easy-print pot from the tower project for the large one. The...

If you have ever wanted to grow avocados, here is a way to start. This sprouter will allow the avocado seed to sprout without being impaled on toothpicks. This is #3 of the sprouter. The first was solid sided, the second had fingers, then this one has an added slot to allow it to be taken off the roots before the new seedling is planted in the garden. An obvious thing I'd not thought of ;) Have a look at this site for more info on how to do it......

This is a project in progress. Read more here: http://www.progressth.org/p/grow-box.html The 3D printed parts included here are to mount a planter above a 350mm tall, 220mm diameter glass container. A small water pump circulates water from the container below, to a perlite filled, inverted 6 liter water bottle above. Holes have been drilled into the water bottle's cap for drainage back into the glass container. The bottom section of the bottle has been cut off and the remaining cross section is...

These are the parts for the fog box and other miscellaneous parts for the fogponic system. Many of these components are seals which are not absolutely necessary for the other components, but are definitely a good idea if the system is meant to actually be fogponic...

This was made to easily be mounted wherever your plants would be happy. I made it so it would work mounted on a cage (the tab on the bottom would prevent it from tipping over so much that the pot falls out). I made a couple of different sizes based on the pots I have, but I'm planning on using adapter rings for smaller pots (or those random plastic cups I used for unexpected tomato seedlings).

This is the herb box component for my modular fogponic system. The macro plug lid included here works much better in a fogponic system as the holes are sized to precisely fit a rock wool macro plug and be air tight. I'm using half height macro plugs as the rock wool is only needed to provide support to the stem of the plant. The seal is required also as otherwise, any slight deformity in the shape will cause fog to leak from the sides. Here are the other parts of the project Tower:...

UPDATE: 7/24/2019 I'm splitting this into multiple projects as they are fairly independent at this point (this was meant to be modular...) This contains only the tower components now. Other parts are here: Herb Garden: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3768611 SoloSprout: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3768626 Fog unit and other parts: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3768838 So this is a project I've wanted to work on for quite some time. So far, plants seem to be doing reasonable well,...

This is a modular system for building indoor gardens. It is designed specifically to work with 18mm PVC piping. It is a project in progress, that we will be updating as it goes along. For more information on it, follow the project log on Hackaday I/O: https://hackaday.io/project/9059-indoor-growbot It includes different kinds of joints for building the frame, and will also include all kinds of mounts developed for sensors, webcams, power supplies, microcontrollers, microcomputers, water pumps...

This has been designed to turn a length of Floplast 115mm HI-Cap gutter into hanging planter for something like lettuce. The end cap is printed with no top and bottom layers with honeycomb infill at 15% to get the lattice on the end for drainage. The hanger attachment slides on from the end and has a 5MM hole for hanging rope.
