twenty years. Growingup mental-

things, knowing new people, and
meeting many kinds of situations;

all of this contributes to the
growth of our mind and body.

All of this and much more influences our
Christian life; our goal must be to “know
Christ, and the power of his resurrection.”

Once again it is our pleasure to commend to you this pictorial record of a school
year at N.C. compiled by our annual staff. Our Reflector Staff has endeavored to
present a composite of the activities and the people that created the history of
the 1972-73 school year.

What can’t be pictured, however, is how these people and these activities
together worked toward accomplishing the thrust of the key verse for this
annual. “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ."” Many of the activities were exciting. Classes were both interesting and
dull. Chapels were inspirational and so-so. Interpersonal relationships were
varied. But in all a resultant “‘growth in grace, and in knowledge of our Lord. .”
has been the goal, and, we are confident, was the result.

Peruse these pages with “growth in grace, and in knowledge”’ in mind. Perhaps
your imagination can picture what God has done and in some cases what He
Walter O. Ediger would like to have done in hearts and lives.

Superintendent Walter O. Ediger

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”’

Education is growth. The development of minds and bodies has been the
traditional concern of educators for centuries. But CHRISTIAN education adds
the all-important third dimension, Spiritual growth. For thirteen years Nebraska
Christian High School has offered quality education and Christ-centered
activities to Christian teenagers. But even more important than this has been the
challenge to let Christ control our lives and fill us with His Grace: to mature in
the most important knowledge in all creation, “‘the knowledge of our Lord and

Savior.”
H. Kay Sawyer As we page through this REFLECTOR of the 1972-73 school year, let us pray
Principal with the apostle, ‘‘That | may know HIM, and the power of His resurrection, and
the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.” (Phil.
3:10)

“IT will sing with the Spirit, and I will sing
with the understanding also.”’ I Cor. 14:15

The Bible speaks often of praise to God, worship of Him as
the Supreme Being, an all-wise and loving Father. Through
our voices we give expression to God of our love and
adoration: we worship him. It is important to remember who
we are singing to, and “sing with the understanding.” At
N.C., students are given an opportunity to use their voices in
praise to our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ.

“Behold, He Cometh!” In honoring the
Senior class of 1973, the Juniors used the
theme of Christ’s second coming for the
Junior-Senior Banquet, which was held on
April 16, 1973.

After a tasty meal which was served by the
Sophomores, Pete Schroeder presented three
vocal selections. Mr. Fred Zabel, the main
speaker, then challenged those present to
prepare themselves and others for Christ’s
second coming.

ROWSE “DOUBLE 9” MOWERS

This is the mowing outfit that is finding
favor with farmers and ranchers alike,
featuring two |. H. C. mowers with
9-ft. bars mounted on one tractor. Both
mowers are the pitmanless balanced
head type for smooth, fast operation.

Rear mower is driven by a drive shaft
through 2 right angle gear boxes Each
mower bar is raised and lowered indi-
vidually from hydraulic system of tractor.

TRANSPORTATION IS
NO PROBLEM

It takes only seconds to change this trail mower
from mowing position to transport position. To
transport the mower, simply release the ball
hitch on the front end of the tractor and hook to
the ball mounted on the rear axle of the tractor,
thus letting the mower trail directly behind the
tractor. The two wheels on the trail mower are
caster wheels and automatically assume the
direction the mower is being pulled.

(This Mowing Outfit can also be furnished with & i @ .
two 7 ft. bars instead of the two 9 ft.) Ready to be moved anywhere.

“Rowse Hydraulic Rakes”

Made in Sizes 16’ - 20’ - 24’ - 25’ - 28’ - 30° - 36’ - 42’

@ This rake is very flexible and merely floats
over the ground, as the rake is carried by 5 wheels
which are so arranged that uneven ground has
little effect on the rake. This also protects the rake
teeth from breakage.

@ Another feature that protects the teeth is
springs on the holddown, which absorb much of
the shock and strain on the teeth.

@ One double-acting hydraulic cylinder easily
operates the rake.

@ This is the rake that has made all other rakes
obsolete, and has found favor with farmers and
ranchers alike.

Rake, in operating position

TRANSPORTATION — NO PROBLEM

It takes only seconds to change this rake from operating
position to transport position. To transport the rake. the tractor
is disengaged from the main tongue, which is then lifted to an
upwardly position. The tractor is then engaged to a short
tongue which is assembled to one of the end wheels. This
wheel is locked in position by means of a pin when the rake
is in operating position. (See picture at left.) The opposite end
wheel locks in two posi-
tions, one for raking, the
other for transportation.
The center wheels are
caster wheels, and auto-
matically assume the
position the rake is being
pulled. The rake is only
about 8 ft. wide when be-
ing transported, and can
be pulled by car or pick- Lah :
up at least 50 miles per gate, RES Ae % . Bi pee if Woe

When the Lord called Carl Baltensperger home to
Glory, Nebraska Christian High School lost a faithful
friend. As a member of the Advisory Council every
year since 1960, he contributed to the school in a
variety of ways. Both his son and his daughter
graduated from Nebraska Christian.

Carl held several positions of leadership in his church
and taught Sunday School until just a few days
before entering the hospital. He was also known for
his active participation in the Gideon Bible Society.

It has been said of Carl Baltensperger that ““whatever
he endeavored to do, he went beyond the call of duty
and put all his energy and being into each task.”’
