FULL 3-HOUR RE-USEABLE CASSETTE

VHS gives you the most, with a full, three-hour
cassette. (2-hour, 1-hour and M’-hour cassettes
are also available). VH S-Cassettes can be re-used
time and again.

TOTAL CONTROL OF ALL FUNCTIONS
As easy to operate as an audio cassette recorder,
The ‘pause’ button lets you stop recording
unwanted material. Note the audio dubbing
feature for recording your own sound track.

BUILT-IN ELECTRONIC TIMER

A precision made, 24 hour timer allows you to
record your favourite programme while you’re
away from your TV set — even while you’re
away from home!

TUNING CONTROL FOR 8 TV CHANNELS
Eight Australian TV channels (VHF and future
UHF) can be preselected, enabling you to record
one channel whilst watching another. Automatic
Fine Tuning (AFT) built-in.

EASY LOADING UP FRONT
A simple loading system enabling you to change
cassettes at any stop position. Easy access
because it’s towards the front, on the top deck of
the recorder.

Let JVC/VHS entertain you

With VHS a new dimension is added to
your existing colour TV set. Now, with
JVC’s VHS Home TV Recording System,
the whole world of TV entertainment is
yours to keep and view, time and again.

In the past, you often had to forgo
programmes you wanted to see — either
because of other commitments, or because
someone else wanted to watch another
channel.

Sometimes, two of your favourite
programmes were on at the same time on
separate channels.

Or you were watching something special
and friends dropped in, or the phone rang.
Now with JVC/VHS you can record the
programme of your choice, to view it
whenever it suits you. So, no more viewing
dilemmas for you and your family.

Record a programme while you watch
it — Direct recording

How often have you said: “I’d love to see
that show again”? Well, you can with
JVC/VHS. Simply record the programme
on your JVC/VHS recorder as you watch it
for the first time — play it back any
number of times, whenever you like.
Thanks to JVC/VHS quality reproduction,
you might even think it’s better the second
time around!

Watch one channel, record another
simultaneously — Parallel recording

This is one of the truly amazing benefits of
the JVC/VHS recorder. You want to watch
one channel, the children another ... a
problem of the past. With JVC/VHS the
entire family can gain the maximum benefit
from your TV receiver, as you watch one
show together and record the other
simultaneously, for play-back when you’re
all ready. It’s better than having another
colour TV in your home. Much better!

Record TV while you’re away —
Unattended recording

You needn’t miss out on great television
entertainment anymore (when you’re late
home from visiting Gran, or have to pick
up the kids from school). Select the
required channel, pre-set the timer on your
JVC/VHS recorder, and the show’s

recorded automatically, to view and enjoy
when you return home.

Make your own family TV tapes!

\

With a video camera such as our GC 3300
(optional extra) you can make your own
video cassette recordings of day-to-day
family situations, important occasions ...
truly moving pictures of the kind you find
in every family photo album. With
JVC/VHS, they come to life instantly in
beautiful colour, on your own TV receiver!
(You can even arrange for your super 8
films to be transferred to VHS-cassette for
instant playback. It’s also simple to make
extra copies with the aid of another VHS
recorder.)

The VHS system. Developed by JVC,
used around the world.

Developed by JVC, the VHS system is as
simple to operate as an audio cassette
recorder.

Because it’s full of up-to-the-minute
innovations and technical features, it’s been
adopted by many other Companies around
the world.

In addition to what you would normally
expect from a home video system, JVC
gives you a whole lot more. For instance, a
whole three hours of recording time from
just one cassette; an automatic timer that
can work up to 24 hours ahead to record
material in your absence; push-button
simplicity controlling 8 separate functions
— including a ‘pause control’ and ‘audio
dubbing’; a built-in facility for a video
camera (so that you can take your own
pictures); and a parallel tape-loading
system for unequalled mechanical reliability
and stable picture reproduction. JVC/VHS
is backed by a 12 months warranty, parts
and labour. (For full details check the
warranty card enclosed with each
JVC/VHS recorder).

The compact system that’s economical
to operate.

The JVC Home TV Recorder can be used
with all makes of television. It is simply
connected to the VHF aerial socket of your
TV set. You’ll notice how compact it is,
and yet how beautifully it blends into your
decor. Using only 35 watts per hour (some
systems use 50 watts), it has a low power
consumption, so it’s truly economical.

Why we believe the JVC/VHS cassette

The VHS video cassette allows long-time
recording (up to 180 min.) of clear-cut pictures
with low tape consumption. “Small, lightweight
and easy-to-handle” are the convenient
features. Those video cassettes carrying the
designated “VHS” mark are fully inter¬
changeable between VHS video cassette
recorders built to the same television standard.
